Berberè in 2022, has opened a new pizzeria in the Porta Saragozza district of Bologna, featuring around 160 seats, most of which are in a large and charming outdoor garden area. Open daily from 12:30–14:30 and 19:00–23:30, the restaurant blends a welcoming ambiance with a strong culinary identity.

The brand’s philosophy is based on growth without compromising quality, with a particular focus on staff training and the selection of top-quality ingredients. Berberè has been recognized for the fifth consecutive year among Italy’s best pizzerias in the Gambero Rosso guide, and is ranked in the top five artisan pizza chains in the world by 50 Top Pizza.

Their concept, called the “third way of pizza” by Gambero Rosso, uses only live sourdough starter and organic semi-whole wheat flours, resulting in light and flavorful dough. The seasonal menu includes around fifteen pizzas, from classic favorites like the Margherita (with Agerola fiordilatte, organic tomato, basil, and Alce Nero EVO oil) and the Napoli (with Sicilian anchovies and Salina capers), to more creative options.

A fun twist: guests can dip their crust in Berberè’s signature sauces, like spicy ‘nduja honey and green sauce, which enhance the flavor of the dough.

For dessert, Berberè offers Italian classics like tiramisu and profiteroles, crafted exclusively by Master Pastry Chef Luigi Biasetto.

The restaurant’s design, created by architect Giambattista Ghersi, is site-specific and plays with space and light to create a modern, warm atmosphere.

Berberè Porta Saragozza offers more than just great pizza—it’s a contemporary culinary and cultural experience in the heart of Bologna.
