Da Nello al Montegrappa

In 2019, a reservation from a certain Tom Smith shook the city: Michael Jordan arrived to sit in the large hall of Palazzo Vignoli. In an instant, social media and the Bolognese people learned of the news and literally went wild. However, since 1948, the Bolini family has been accustomed to hosting major international and national celebrities weekly, and they continue to do so, assisted by a large staff of employees, alongside Alice Bolini, the last descendant of one of the most forward-thinking families in Bolognese hospitality. At the tables, many young people, guided from a young age by their families who grew up here. The displays are as inviting as they were in the past: tubers, prized truffles, seasonal mushrooms decorate the entrance and whet the appetite of a clientele that has always been enviable. On the menu, the great cornerstones of local traditional cuisine and the most glorious recipes, today they would call them signature dishes: Montegrappa green tortelloni, risotto alla bolognese, the chef’s golden droplets; in addition to kidney, roast partridge, hare in salmì, and other recipes that have become a rarity, not only in the historic center.
