Trattoria del Borgo

La Trattoria del Borgo is located in the municipality of Monteveglio, in Valsamoggia, within the charming historic village that one can pleasantly walk through to reach the trattoria.

Inside, the atmosphere is warm, familiar, and authentic. Hospitality is one of its strengths, as is the kind and generous service. The restaurant is managed by Paolo Parmeggiani, who shares vision and values with his brother Stefano, owner of Trattoria dei Mugnai.

The menu gives voice to Bolognese tradition, offering among appetizers, first and second courses the unmissable dishes one hopes to find on the table at every festive occasion. Among these are tortellini in the “good broth,” made from the first boiling of meats and vegetables, green tagliatelle with traditional Bolognese ragù, and ricotta tortelli with milk cream and Parmigiano Reggiano from the Lame dairy in Zocca. Among the second courses, the tigellata stands out, accompanied by local cured meats such as “gentile” salami, Langhirano ham, aged capocollo, pancetta, and mountain lard pesto. Veal cheek braised in Barbera from Montebudello or local rabbit stewed in Pignoletto sauce will satisfy meat lovers, while steamed cod with aromatic herbs and pappa al pomodoro offers a delightful alternative for those who prefer fish. Alongside the traditional menu, there is also a small seasonal menu, created from vegetables sourced at the market.

Those wishing to treat themselves to a typically Bolognese experience without worries can choose the tasting menu, which includes five traditional courses at the modest price of €40. Whatever the choice, one thing is certain: great attention is paid to the quality and provenance of the ingredients, as local and regional as possible, enriched by Slow Food Presidia.

The Algida ice cream sign inside the restaurant awakens happy memories and brings a smile, setting the mood for a meal that will bring just as much joyful flavor.
